Hello Dave, I'm Joseph. I asked you how I could find the song "You gotta love someone". I don't think i have ever come across someone who has devoted as much of their time into him as i have. by the looks of it you have devoted much more. I think your site is great. I listen to Elton john all the time, the only problem is that i am 18 yrs. old and that tends to put up a lot of boundries between my friends and I, at least in the music area! They all want to listen to Korn and Rumstein and Nirvana and those types, when I really enjoy just listening to Elton. I have yet to pin down my favorite song of his though, I suppose that is appropriate though. A lot of people don't realize the small things. In his double CD album, Here and There, the one where he is in New York at the Madison Square Garden, I love that rendition of Your song. He sings it really well and puts a lot of passion into the words that I have heard him sing hundreds of times. I am probably far from being the as knowledgeable of Elton's music as you are, but finding someone out there who is as seriously interested in his music as I am is a little nice.

I believe Elton would be proud, and couldn't have done a better job himself! As you know, many lyrics are not published, and sometimes hard to understand. You have managed to solve this with your vast assortment (both U.K. and U.S.A.) of tracks. Your hard work has been rewarded, I consider you the ultimate Elton John Fan, and the "keeper of the flame". it's been a year since elton john came to our town here in evansville,in(11-28-97), and they still can't put out the fire he started that night. my wife and i saw him in philadelphia,pa in 1975(i think)(1974), any way, we took our 16 year old daughter to the concert. all she knew of elton john was what she saw on Mtv. we told her after the concert that this was equal to my parents taking me to see frank sinatra. every song he played brought tears to my wife and i eyes. so much time, to much water under the bridge, and still, the songs and the music stand forever. to you Mr.Elton John, thanks.

Although I did not attend Elton John's concert in Denver, Colorado, I must have been aware of his presence. I was also visited by flashbacks of my trip to Ohio early last September to attend my class reunion, and of Princess Di's funeral that early Saturday morning. What a sad memory. Thus, for the next two days I felt possessed to play Elton John CD's while driving to work. As intently as I tried, and after all these years, I was unable to comprehend all the words to the lyrics of "Candle in the Wind." This evening, I asked my wife to listen to the lyrics, and still the two of us could not comprehend all the words.
You will never know how happy I was to find the lyrics to "Candle in the Wind" on your web site. And finding the lyrics to "Candle in the Wind 1997" brought back that Saturday as a celebration, not a sad memory. Thanks for making this all possible.

Hello Dave. I'm not sure how old you are but I am 34 and close to 35. I remember hearing the song "Don't let the sun go down on me" on the am station 99x on Long Island when I was about 10 or 11 and I got the next album released for xmas. It was Captain Fantastic and I still have it in good condition to this day. My dad took me (32 yrs then) to Madison Square Garden to see Elton John for the first time ever (and my dad has always gotten great seats for many concerts) but I was resting my arms on the stage, just to the right of the center stage extension, and I have to tell you that I have never, ever, had a better time at any concert that I have been to. It was the Made in England tour and I got a pick handed to me from blondie because the one he threw to me didn't make it to the end of the stage. IF ONLY I HAD A CAMERA---ARGH! Well, I still have the jersey that daddy bought me and my wonderful memories that only you would appreciate. I will visit again soon. Keep up the great website.

I found the pages of Eton John material exactly what I had been looking for! I have been an Elton fan since the early 70's- I was just young then. My husband and I saw Elton last week (5/4) in the Miami Arena- it was my birthday present (30 something...) and it was the best present I could have ever dreamed of getting! Not only was Elton in top form, but I found him to be a real gentleman performer- standing up and bowing and thanking the audience after nearly every song.
My husband saw Elton John perform back in the 70's at the Jersey shore. It was a stormy night, and Elton played on. And on. At the Miami Arena, it was a stormy night, and Elton performed for 2 1/2 hours. All that was missing was the big green socks!!
I am such a huge Elton fan, and as I mentioned, your material has filled in a lot of blanks as far a lyrics and personal information is concerned.
I just wish my sister had been able to hold on to all those Elton John albums...

I love Elton as well. My age is 20yrs of age. I began to fall in love with Elton's music at around 14 yrs old. It stared with his Yellow Brick Road Album. Anyways I am just so happy that someone has created a sit worth visiting. I just moved out of my pop's place into an apartment. We bought elton's music which later inspired me to play the piano. Of all the Elton websites i have visited, yours is the most impressive. But one thing is missing. I have enjoyed Elton John since about 1989 when I heard Club At The End Of The Street. I have grown to love all of his albums as a solo singer from Empty Sky to The Big Picture.
